De Brouwer studied Germanic Philology at the University of Ghent (Belgium) before doing his PhD in Semiotics at the University of Tilburg (Netherlands). Since 2005 he has been an ‘Entrepreneur in Residence’ at the Judge Business School of the University of Cambridge(United Kingdom), and also acts as an adjunct professor at the University of Monaco, where he has taught Entrepreneurship since 2004. Walter De Brouwer has recently joined the editorial team of the Journal for Chinese Entrepreneurship.
